Benton Park and the Greater Ville Unite for Change (8.18.18)

Do you want to get to know your St. Louis neighbors, near and far? Benton Park is teaming up with SLACO (St. Louis Association of Community Organizations) for Neighborhoods United for Change, a four-hour experience on Saturday, August 18. The program was created to help bridge the city’s racial, economic and geographic divides, and build lasting relationships between North and Southside neighborhoods.

The event will begin with a bus tour of Benton Park and a sister neighborhood in North St. Louis. You will learn about the history, community members and businesses that make both neighborhoods unique. Skilled facilitators will guide discussion about racial experiences in St. Louis and city-wide issues. Lunch will be provided in Benton Park.

This is your opportunity to experience another beautiful, diverse community and share lunch with residents from across the Delmar divide. Participation is free, but RSVP soon because space is limited. Tell your friends and let’s make sure our neighborhood is well-represented.
