For Bill Kranz and the English Cave Steering Committee, it’s been an exciting couple of months and a long time coming. After researching the historic cave for years and gaining the support of the neighborhood, Kranz and his team drafted a proposal and raised the funds to drill two holes in the English Cave Community Garden in hopes of hitting the cave. This March, for the first time in 100 years, contact was made with the English Cave, one of the most mysterious caves in St. Louis history.
